Clery Compliance Committee
Emory’s Clery Act Compliance Committee helps facilitate Clery Act compliance and enhance the
University’s commitment to creating and maintaining a safe and secure learning environment. Emory recognizes that Clery Act compliance is an entity-wide responsibility. The committee will also help broaden awareness of security issues and enhance policies and programs that support campus security.
Committee Charge
The Clery Compliance Committee includes an interdisciplinary team of stakeholders charged with supporting Emory University’s compliance with the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act [20 USC § 1092(f)]. The Committee acts as a network of campus stakeholders who facilitate cooperation and communication across the Emory enterprise relating to Clery Act compliance, and identifies and evaluates processes, procedures, and practices to manage compliance with the Clery Act. Recommendations of the Committee are made to the Director of Clery Act Compliance, University Office of Compliance, and the Office of General Counsel, as needed. The Committee will meet at least once each semester and more regularly as needed. The Clery Compliance Committee supports the Office of Clery Act Compliance in achieving institutional compliance with the Clery Act.

• The Department of Title IX
• Emory Police Department
• Office of Clery Act Compliance
• Office of Ethics and Compliance

• Office of the General Counsel
• Office of Real Estate Services
